Vehicle restraint

Available from Stertil Stokvis is the universal Combilok, a restraint system for vehicles parked at loading bays.

Loading bays are high risk areas, where communication between drivers and distribution centre personnel can be poor. Integrated into a wheel-alignment guide through which the truck is centred in the dock shelter and the dock leveller, the Combilok wheel-restraint system can prevent accidents occurring.

The control system is installed in the warehouse and operates the hydraulic movement of a wheel block towards the rear wheel of the truck. An in-built sensor determines the position of the wheel and the wheel block is then automatically extended and pushed against the rear wheel, restraining the vehicle, improving safety and eliminating damage to goods and equipment.

Movement of the wheel block is accompanied by audible and visual alarms.
