Pushing power shift engines
November 1st 2005

Cummins Engine has taken delivery of its first Nu-Star Super Pusher unit at its Daventry site. It will be used to move engine blocks during the build process.

Engines are mounted on dedicated trolleys during manufacturing and can weigh from 7000 to 12 000kg depending on the model and the stage in the build process.

After a week of extensive trials, Cummins opted to buy the Super Pusher and it has been in constant use ever since.
