Cuts costs
September 1st 2004

An ergonomic dock leveller from Stertil Stokvis has a special lip design, energy-absorbing rear hinge and is designed to provide fast, smooth and safe movement of goods into and out of vehicles.

The design of the HW leveller reduces and varies the crown angle between the lip and the platform, created by the special parallelogram hinge construction.

This is said to result in a much lower impact on materials handling equipment and a consequent reduction of about 50% in maintenance costs. Impact on the human body is also said to be minimised, reducing the chance of injury and absenteeism.

Features include high tensile steel construction for the platform, platform supports and lip, and a panic stop device in the hydraulics system to halt and hold the platform should unauthorised or accidental vehicle movement occur.

Optional features include Twaron-Polyurea anti-skid coating that can significantly reduce noise.
