Certex UK has teamed up with Walker Magnetics to offer a wide range of lifting solutions.

Certex customers now have access to Walker’s range of permanent and electro-permanent lift magnets; battery lift magnets; electro (mains powered) lifting magnets for plate, rounds and structural bundles; and pneumatically operated permanent magnets for special applications.

Charles Gillespie, Certex UK director, comments “Magnets offer savings in time and money by eliminating the work involved in attaching straps and chains. They can usually be operated by one person, allow more effective use of floor space (gangways can be eliminated as the work pieces are picked from the top), and they tend to reduce the chance of damage to the item being lifted.

“Added to this is the fact that modern magnets require little maintenance and service, particularly true of Walker products, and they improve working conditions for personnel in terms of ease of operation, less strain, less fatigue and better concentration.”
