Available in the UK from Shawcity, ATEX-approved Gilian 5000 personal air sampling pumps can be 'future-proofed' to ensure that whatever sampling job arises, the pump will cope.

When sampling for dust, there is inevitably an increase of back pressure on the pump. At 2L/min the 5000 comfortably provides constant flow operation resulting in accurate sampling when the backpressure is as high as 90cm water gauge. This is equivalent to using a 0.45 micron filter in an extremely dusty environment for a full working shift.

The Gilian 5000 will allow adjustment of flow rate from 5000 to 1000mL/min. Some customers also want to use their pump for low flow gas vapour sampling. A low flow adapter can be connected for sampling as low as 20mL/min suitable for fuel and other toxic vapours.
