Shift, stack and store January 1st 2005 Described as ‘Everything you need to know about handling and storage in one user-friendly event’, the Shift, Stack and Store day will take place at a range of venues across the country.
It offers visitors the chance to see the latest equipment from leading manufacturers and to attend free seminars from industry experts.
Equipment will include forklift trucks, batteries, conveyors, racking, loading bays, containers and pallets, maintenance and so on.
Free talks cover subjects such as warehouse planning, equipment purchasing strategies, training, health and safety, working with third party suppliers, employment law, and warehouse software.
Gil Male, head of engineering plant group technology unit, HSE, will outline the results of a survey of forklift truck accidents investigated by the HSE between 1997 and 2001, describing how, why and where the accidents occurred, the people injured and the types of trucks involved.
