Time saver
September 1st 2005

Industrial Automation (IAL) has launched what it believes is the first de-strapping machine capable of removing horizontal retaining straps from pallets of glass bottles.

The SDS1 has been developed for the brewing and drinks industry and will save time and money during the de-palletisation process.

The compact module can be installed as part of a new depalletisation system or retro-fitted.

When used with IAL’s DS2 destrapper unit for removal of vertical bands, clients benefit from a fully automated removal system for the straps on pallets of glass bottles.

The DS2 can also correct a leaning stack. A number of configurable options are available, including a high-level walkway access.
