Intier Automotive Seating uses four T6 battery-powered tow tractors from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles to make precisely-sequenced deliveries to the Ford Transit production line in Southampton.

Each tow tractor takes a Forddesigned trailer, carrying model specific seating built next door in the Intier factor, into the Ford plant, to arrive at the exact time and production line location defined in the production schedule.

The T6s can tow up to 7t if needed, far more than is required by Intier, but the company wanted power in reserve for ramps, unexpected loads and so on.

A spare battery pack is always on charge, allowing a recharged battery to be installed between shifts. The tow tractors typically work 8h on a singe charge.
