In 1997 Modelo Mexico Brewery, producer of Corona Beer, wanted to update a number of outdated end of line pallet wrapping machines, which were beginning to pose serious health and safety problems.

The company wanted to increase production speeds, while reducing costs. Its existing rotating ring wrapping machine was achieving only 90% efficiency.

Modelo required a high speed pallet stretch wrapper that would achieve 100 pallets/hour with 99% efficiency, while at the same time reducing overall operating and maintenance costs.

The Robopac Sistemi Genesis was supplied. Its rotating ring function without slip rings, minimises maintenance costs and reduces safety implications.

Today the company has 60 machines, the most recent being fitted with the Mod.

ARC/3 automatic film reel change system, which further boosts productivity.
