Clean design for poppadum packer
May 1st 2007 Meypack has designed and
built a VP 451 case packer
in CleanDesign style for
RHM's culinary brands
division production site in
Manchester.
The mid-speed machine
has a paddle chain and an
expanded magazine for
blanks.
The VP 451 CD
packs five different
types of blister
packs containing
Indian poppadums.
Products exit the multipacker
in two lanes and are
then merged into one lane.
They are positioned upright
by the paddle chain and
then pushed laterally in the
loading
station area to
create the desired
formation. Products are
then packed into wraparound
cases.

Meypack's project director,

were not only able to
demonstrate our
proven technology, we
were able to show that
CleanDesign is the
right route for the food
industry to be taking.
The open design makes
operation, maintenance
and cleaning of the
