Crocodile cases for BMW July 1st 2006 Crocodile Packaging has completed a bespoke, low-cost packaging design for BMW. The carmaker needed to store 45,000 cylinder heads during the changing of production facilities at its Hams Hall engine plant.
Crocodile created cases manufactured from 18mm chipboard with an 18mm OSB base, designed to hold four layers of eight cylinder heads. Protecting the cylinder heads on all six sides was a critical element of the task. The cases can be stacked for storage, removing the need for racking and maximising the use of limited space. They have the potential to be used subsequently as ISPM 15-compliant packing cases. More articles from Crocodile Packaging Ltd: |
