Fashion pallets
November 1st 2006 Mosaic Fashions, parent company of Oasis, Coast, Karen Millen and Whistles, recently moved premises to a 40 000ft2, three-storey warehouse and selected Craemer plastic pallets as part of a new storage and handling system. The company used to rent 4000 timber pallets per year, so a member of staff had to be responsible for their monitoring and supervision. repairs and disposal, which took up considerable time. There were health and safety issues too as the pallets were stored outside. Mosaic Fashions decided to look at the possibility of changing from timber to plastic pallets, but in so doing had to consider weight, durability and fire retardant properties. Craemer says that once the longevity and virtually unbreakable quality of its H3 R pallets were considered, the initial outlay compared to previous costs was justified. The product is used for transporting medium weight loads. Made from regenerated HDPE it is suitable for a wide range of applications and offers a long service life.
