Gold award for packaging
May 1st 2007

SCA Packaging received a gold Award at this year's Star pack competition held by the Institute of Packaging. The company received its award in the category 'Best Transit Pack' for a solution developed by its industrial division.

The pack was designed to house and protect the sensitive components of a life support machine during worldwide transportation.

Benefits claimed for the pack include: a reduction in overall pack height, which allows the product to remain upright during air freight; a significant reduction in pack weight, which reduces the cost of air freight; and addition of a ramp to the custom designed low profile pallet that removes the need for manual handling of the product.
