The decision by Northumberland-based Waters and Robson to increase production of its natural mineral water products enabled M.J.

Maillis UK to demonstrate the capabilities of its new stretch wrapper.

The company wanted a system that would work in line with a newly installed bottling line and became the first British company to buy one of the Mancon 1710 machines.

Described as one of the fastest wrapping solutions on the market, the stretch wrapper was chosen for its speed of operation, its ability to complete the wrapping cycle without any need for contact with the product, the space-saving benefit of wrapping inline without the need for product rotation, and the ability to apply stretch wrap of varying tensions depending on the nature of the product.

The machine can wrap up to 120 pallets an hour.
