Pallet pressed for time July 1st 2006 Sheard Packaging, one of the largest corrugated sheet manufacturers in the north of England, has installed a pallet press from Mosca for the fast and reliable strapping of its products.
Operating out of a purpose built 100,000 square foot manufacturing andstorage facility, Sheard Packaging has been operating since 1860. With productivity recently increased, Sheard sought another pallet strapper. The company purchased a KCK 121-26 pallet press with an integrated turncross for four-way strapping and a programmable compression ratio.
With two KSR friction weld sealing heads allowing extended seal for improved joint strength and two lances for feeding the strap through the pallet void, the KCK 121-26 has a 2.6m wide arch and can strap pallets in excess of 2.0m wide. It is capable of speeds up to 120 pallets an hour for two parallel straps, or 60 pallets an hour for four way cross-strapping.
With a large portfolio of clients Sheard provides corrugated packaging and point of sale units to exacting IS0 standards. More articles from Mosca Direct Ltd: |
