Smurfit has invested in a Mosca pallet system to replace older equipment at its Weston Super Mare site. The new system joins other Mosca equipment on site and comprises a KCK-131 pallet press, incorporating turn-cross and centraliser, and a WAH-4 rotary arm stretch wrapper.

The KCK-131 compression pallet strapping machine has two friction weld sealing heads and three lances; the second head moves between two lance positions for flexibility of strap position.It can reach speeds to 120 pallets/h.

The WAH-4 stretch wrapper is the first Mosca machine to be supplied to the UK corrugated industry with automatic top-sheet application for waterproofing. It can wrap up to 80 pallets/h without top sheets and 55 pallets/h with top sheets.
