AKO UK's SureFlo aerator/vibrator system has solved a common silo/hopper problem at the Cemex site in Rugby, resulting in enhanced flow from silos.

It has been fitted to the cement silos in the packaging area, silo shoots to the screw conveyors and in the dust plant at the site. Aerator pads are fitted inside the lower walls of the container. If access into the hopper is difficult, AKO can supply a retrofit kit. Pressurised air is applied to the outside of the pads, causing vibration and a deliberate leakage of air that is imparted to the bulk powder/ granule product, that in turn leads to uninterrupted full flow of product through to the discharge valve.
