Conveying solution November 1st 2003 Working in close association with Sussex & Berkshire, who supplied Ronseal with robotic palletisers, Astec Conveyors was awarded the contract to manufacture and supply new filling line conveyor equipment.
The system handles pallet loads, plus empty and full plastic containers in sizes from 2.5l at speeds of 70/min to 12l at 14/min. Flexibility and accuracy are in part achieved with simply adjusted guide rails on container conveyors.
Located on an upper floor, empty containers come into the system from the discharge of a robot de-palletiser, or a V80 pail destacker, feeding in single file on modular belt conveyors to a lowerator. Containers are lowered via the side grip elevator to the floor below and transported on a series of modular belt conveyors.
On discharge from the filling line, full containers are conveyed via a modular side-flexing belt onto the infeed to the robotic palletiser for collation and off-loading onto pallets. More articles from Astec Conveyors Limited: |
