Increased output and user flexibility are two of the benefits claimed for Rapak’s Autokap 1210E fully automatic bag-in-box filling machines installed at the Leeds factory of Britvic Soft Drinks.

High speeds have been achieved with Rapak’s quick-change bag-into-box loaders that significantly reduce changeover downtime. Rotating back-toback load chutes with ‘quick connect’ technology means changing from 10 to 20L packs can be achieved in less than 3min.

Each of the Autokap machines is capable of filling 10 and 20L bags of post mix syrup at rates of 13 and 9 bags per minute respectively. Between them, the two fillers can produce in excess of 4.5 million units per year for Britvic.

Filler operation is controlled by user-friendly Siemens colour touchscreens.

Britvic engineers are able to alter the operational parameters of the machines during production runs.
