A contract to supply 29 forklift trucks to Allied Bakeries has been won by Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks dealer, Welfaux.

The trucks comprise 24 N series LP gas counterbalance models fitted with special bread clamps, two FB18KT 48v electric counterbalance trucks and three RB14 and 16 K series reach trucks.

The models supplied are among the cleanest and most environmentallyfriendly of their type.

Welfaux has also received a contract from Allied to maintain a large proportion of its other materials handling equipment.

The reputation for reliability enjoyed by Mitsubishi influenced Allied’s choice. It means less overall maintenance and at less frequent intervals.

Jon Berry, southern purchasing manager, says “The price was right and the service and maintenance deal was excellent, but above all we were impressed by the Welfaux set-up and by their energy.”
