Horse movement made easier September 5th 2003 Eagle Ottawa, LLC, uses two Nu- Star PowerTugs at its Warrington site to move A-frame trolleys known as ‘horses’, that are used to transport leather hides
Horses used to be pushed and pulled by hand, an unpopular task as the combination of swivelling castors and the weight of the horses made manoeuvring difficult
Nu-Star designed a bespoke method of attaching to the ‘horses’ that ensured operators could move them under complete control and PowerTug was then trialled
Scott Shonamon, general manager says “There has been a substantial improvement in safety and ergonomics since using the PowerTug. They can be modified for multiple applications and are quite manoeuvrable in tight places.” More articles from Nu-Star Material Handling Ltd: |
