INSTALLED WITHIN TIGHT TIMESCALE January 1st 2005 Guaranteed dates for delivery and installation were key factors in AHED’s (Associated Heating Equipment Distributors) choice of a storage partner for it flagship distribution centre in West Yorkshire.
The contract went to Linpac Storage Systems and it has recently completed the first phase of warehouse storage.
Steve Bentley, project manager, says “There was lots of activity during the three weeks of installation, but everything went according to plan. Linpac performed to budget and within our tight timescales, while being flexible with other contractors on site.” Situated in a 45 000ft2 section of the warehouse, the solution comprises both racking and shelving.
Linpac’s narrow aisle pallet racking is fitted with timber decking and provides more than 4000 pallet locations for bulk storage serviced by wire-guided trucks.
Smaller items are housed on versatile longspan shelving fitted with steel panels. There are 3000 small parts locations in the warehouse. Goods are handpicked from shelves that are fully adjustable to allow for change of use. More articles from Linpac Storage Systems Limited: |
