More space for storage

When, in 1998, Entertainment UK (EUK) needed to significantly increase storage capacity at its warehouse in Hayes, Narrow Aisles Flexi Generation 3 lift trucks helped it achieve its objective. Four Flexi trucks enabled EUK to reduce aisle widths from 2.8 to 2.1m and add an extra row of racking. The result was an increase in pallet capacity of 75%. However, the trucks articulated design allows it to operate in aisles as narrow as 1750mm, depending on pallet size. Additionally, it can handle loads of up to 2000kg and lift to heights of more than 11m. Business volumes have increased significantly since 1998, so EUK had no hesitation in installing six Flexi G3 lift trucks for its bulk storage area. John Mortell, facilities engineer, says The Flexis were chosen specifically because they can work in an area where a conventional counterbalance simply could not operate.
