RACKING MEETS TIGHT DEADLINE January 1st 2005 Hi-Lo Storage Systems has completed the second phase of a major contract to provide the Port of Tyne Authority with 10 000 additional pallet locations.
An integral part of CSE Space Management’s turnkey project to supply the Port of Tyne Authority with a sophisticated warehouse and office complex, the second phase has doubled the size of the warehouse, providing an additional 6300m2 of space.
Heavy duty FEM-compliant racking was specified and Hi-Lo was able to meet a tight time schedule.
CSE Space Management sent its original layout designs and specifications to Hi-Lo for quantifying and costing. Hi-Lo suggested its Premierack system that stands at 110m long with 12m high racks.
Features include uprights that can be reversed in the event of damage, thus reducing waste. These are available in a variety of gauges and have 50mm slots, thereby increasing the racking’s flexibility and maximising space use.
Beams are available in open, box or stepped form, and the stiffening ribs and rolled edges of the fivehook connector offer a high level of stability and safety. More articles from HiLo-PSS Group: |
