SPACE SAVINGS: STONE THE CROWS

When home accessories supplier, Stone the Crows, needed to maximise storage capacity at its Dronfield warehouse, a Narrow Aisle Flexi lift truck helped provide a solution.

When the company first moved to the site, it designed the aisle layout around the articulated Flexi, maximising pallet capacity and saving on potential floor refurbishment costs.

The truck’s ‘super light’ power steering and enhanced cushion rubber tyres enable it to be used in warehouses with uneven flooring.

Six years later the company has upgraded to the latest Generation 3 model, buying both the truck, and a Narrow Aisle maintenance package.

At Stone the Crows, the Flexi lifts to heights of 6m, well within its 11m maximum limit, and can lift loads of up to 2000kg. Its articulated design allows it to work in aisles as narrow as 1800mm, depending on pallet size.

Narrow Aisle says that, compared with a conventional reach truck, it can improve storage density by more than 30%.
