Spiralling benefits July 1st 2005 A global logistics company recently appointed Keymas Controls and Automation to resolve the problem of how to transfer boxes from loading bay to mezzanine.
Due to space restrictions on the loading dock, it was not possible to install an inclined belt conveyor so, after due consultation with management, it was agreed to install a spiral conveyor to transport the product.
Robustly engineered, the conveyor provides a space saving solution. With just one drive required for heights to 7m, it is energy efficient, flexible in operation, simple to install and has minimum controls.
The spiral conveyor can be used to provide an accumulation buffer if required, reversible conveying and high speed throughputs even of unstable products. More articles from Keymas Limited: |
