STILL MEETING ALL HANDLING NEEDS

Chemviron Carbon has chosen Still Materials Handling to meet all materials handling needs on a turnkey operation at its factory near Wigan.

A compact Still FM 14 reach truck operates within racking at the site. Steve Jones, manufacturing manager, explains “We decided on the FM as it seemed to offer the best price:performance ratio.” The driver compartment is fully adjustable and ergonomic controls place all operating functions comfortably within reach.

Travel direction and all hydraulic functions can be regulated using just two valve levers with preselector switches. Ondemand electro-mechancial servo steering contributes to fatigue-free operation.

An R 70-25 LP gas counterbalance truck makes light work of incoming raw materials. Its electric drive eliminates transmission power losses, making sure all the engine’s power reaches the functions and driven wheels.
