Truck use cut July 1st 2005 Tilbury-based Interforest Terminal London has extended the flexibility of its fork lift truck fleet following the purchase of a Kaup T429 multi-pallet handler with telescopic forks from B&B Attachments.
Previously, the company used Kaup double pallet handlers with 1500mm long forks. These enabled operators to handle two to four pallets on the forks from one side of the vehicle and then load single pallets, placed at the end of the forks from the other.
Although adaptable, they required Interforest Terminals to frequently change trucks and blades to accommodate the variety and sizes of pallets.
The new attachment lets the operator adjust the length of the forks from 1000 to 1500mm long and any position in between.
Interforest can now carry pallets back against the fork upright instead of at the tips.
As well as saving the company time and money, the attachment has enabled it to cut its truck use. More articles from B & B Attachments: |
