Racking Solution for Warehouse
July 1st 2004 Linpac Storage Systems has supplied a vna racking solution that provides 14 000 pallet locations for Widdowsons warehouse in Leicestershire.
Nick Abbott, senior operations manager for Widdowsons, explains why the racking was chosen. We chose Linpac as our storage partner first and foremost because it understands our business.
With the relationship weve developed its easy for the project team to sit around a table and sort out whats required. Because of Linpacs market knowledge and extensive product range, it was able to provide a range of storage options for us to choose from. Also, the company has an excellent relationship with MHE suppliers which is so important for the integration between racking and trucks. We already use Linpac racking in other ware-houses in the Leicestershire area and we like the fact that their products are interchangeable. As racking is one of Widdowsons fixed assets, it is very useful to be able to move it around.
