Tesco deal September 1st 2005 Chloride Motive Power has renewed its sole supplier agreement with Tesco for a further three years. It will supply all leadacid traction batteries, chargers and ancillary equipment for use in the company’s electric materials handling equipment. CMP engineers will also provide regular scheduled maintenance for the batteries.
Installation of CMP’s battery changing systems and multi-level network management system will facilitate battery charging and changing. It will also provide electronic monitoring and control of battery charging operations, provide managers with real time status reports and ultimately improve the longevity of batteries, with further cost reduction in maintaining the battery fleet productivity.
