1100 pallet locations
May 1st 2008 Nene Group was
contracted to provide a
complete racking
installation for Samworth
Distribution's new chill store
extension at its distribution
centre in Leicestershire.
Utilising the new FEM
compliant Stow Pal Rack
pallet racking system Nene
created 1100 new pallet
locations.
The solution utilised CAD
drawings to maximise use
of building height, and so
that pallets could be easily
accessed by reach trucks.
To cater for the various
pallet sizes and weights
Nene recommended the
Stow Pal Rack pallet
racking system. For storage
of different types of pallets,
Nene supplied the racking
beams in two different
colours.
All items were delivered
and installed within an
extremely tight time frame
of just over two weeks.
This enabled Samworth
Distribution to move into its
new cold store facility
without interruption to
