Another fine mesh May 1st 2008 When Alpha Flight Services
refurbished its flight catering
unit, it turned to industrial
partitioning and storage
specialist Troax UK to
provide secure wire mesh
storage enclosures. The
enclosures are used to
securely store duty free
merchandise including
alcohol, tobacco and
perfume supplies for inflight
sales on board aircraft.
The seven cages are
made from Caelum
industrial wire mesh
partitioning, and are
designed to ensure
maximum use of space. Two
cages are two-sided and
adjoin exiting walls, and two
are constructed with three
sides against an adjoining
wall. Two parallel runs of
mesh fencing are attached
to walls at either end. A high
level of security is provided
by the high, sliding,
padlockable doors with
double hasps that are fitted
on each enclosure. The
cages range from 2.5m to
4.4m in height.
Troax's Caelum wire mesh
design allows goods to be
viewed yet remains secure.
It also enables smoke
detection and sprinkler
systems to function. The
company has also installed
its Musca anti-collapse
safety screens in the cages. More articles from Troax (UK) Limited: |
