A joint development by SCA Packaging industrial Division, SCA Provision and Softbox Systems has resulted in the launch of a Temperature Controlled Pallet Shipper that has received a Gold award in this year's Starpack competition.

The TCPS is capable of holding a stable inside temperature of between 2 and 8 degrees for 120h with no external refrigeration.

Control of temperature is the result of a specially configured insulation layer, including ice packs sandwiched by special PE liners.

The pack employs an all-fibreboard outer, with 'walk-in' facility for ease of loading/unloading and includes a lightweight STAX fibreboard pallet.

The TCPS is available in standard sizes of 1200 by 800 by 1140/1590 (external) to suit airfreight.
