Fitting solutions for sports firm

When fitting out the Portsmouth HQ of Internetbased sports equipment company Wiggle, Spaceway South had to include storage and despatch facilities for large boxes containing mountain and racing cycles.

The warehouse area is fitted with mezzanines, conveyor systems, walkways, bike assembly area and processing department and the entire complex has been planned for maximum picking efficiency and to cater for expansion.

To make maximum use of headroom in the warehouse, two-tier and single tier Flooritall mezzanines have been installed to provide a working area of 7000m2.

Accommodating the multitier pallet racking system, the area has been designed to allow room for expansion.

Packaging and despatch areas have an Interfloor reversible conveyor system, flexible 'expandaveyor' and integrated conveyor and racking system. The racking layout provides various shelving configurations.

Also installed were mesh walkways, specially designed lighting levels and comfortable and functional double-glazed offices.
