Kardex has introduced its largest and most efficient automated parts storage and management system.

The ShuttleXPlus allows a single operator to load or access tens of thousands of individual items from more than 2000 possible shelf positions in up to four 20m high storage towers.

The Shuttle XPlus uses a multidirectional extractor system that moves in three dimensions within the unit to allow rapid delivery of components from any point to a single operator access position.

It uses Kardex OptiFlex intelligent storage planning technology to automatically weigh, measure and select the best storage position for loaded components, adjusting internal tray positions in 25mm increments to ensure that parts are stored in the most efficient manner possible.
