Increased storage capacity
November 1st 2006 Clothing supplier Blue Max has been experiencing growth of, on average, 35 per cent in recent years so the pressure has been on to increase strorage and picking capacity. Switching to double-deep racking and introducing live picking faces has enabled it to increase storage capacity in by 30 per cent and improve overall efficiency of its order picking. The reconfiguration was recommended by Atlet which supplied one of its UNS double deep reach trucks and worked with the racking supplier to ensure the project was completed to meet the requirements.
