Juicy job for largest tank
July 1st 2006

A 34 000L caustic detergent storage project by CPV for JohnsonDiversey has demonstrated the benefits of prefabrication in saving assembly, installation and commissioning time and costs at a fruit juice production site.

As a preferred supplier of chemical storage tanks to JohnsonDiversey, CPV consulted at an early stage, allowing collaboration on design, delivery and commissioning of a 20 000L polypropylene tank and two 7000L tanks, fully fitted to specification.

The 20 000L version was the largest the company has made in polypropylene. Constructed as a tank within a tank, it holds caustic detergent for dosing to a CIP system. The outer tank forms an integral bund around the inner and has a leak detection alarm system.

All three tanks have telemetry systems for remote monitoring.
