The type 33 fastener series from Protex Fasteners is suitable for a variety of re-sealable applications.

The medium duty, stainless and zinc-plated mild steel latches are offered with a choice of three grip lengths and are designed for use with Protex type 01-502, 02-502 or 03-502 catchplates. They provide an ultimate strength of 440kgf.

For added security, the low profile units are available with two types of optional sealing pins or a side action safety catch. They can be supplied in TooLatch configuration (part no 39-1260) incorporating a purpose-designed tool-operated safety catch. These require a ‘deliberate act’ with coin or screwdriver to release them.
