Safe tanks at Brenntag
May 1st 2006

Storing a range of chemicals from hydrochloric to sulphuric acid, the Lutterworth site of UK chemical distributor Brenntag houses a total of 14 tanks. The recent purchase of three new 50,000 litre tanks has seen the completion of the company's tank facilities upgrade to rely solely on Allibert Helix's helically wound designs.

The winding process, used to produce the tanks, creates a stress-free tank with no seams designed for a working life of at least 20 years.

"We supply a whole host of industries," said Robert Bagshaw, Brenntag operations manager. "This involves storing a number of chemicals in large volumes and then re-packing them into smaller quantities for distribution. It's essential that our tanks are durable, making the maintenance-free service life provided by Allibert Helix tanks a great advantage."
