Thread option for steel drums
May 1st 2008 Colder Products Company has
added an ISO G2 x 11.5 (2in NPS)
thread option to its DrumQuik Pro,
a quick-connect, dip-tube closure
for jerry cans, drums and IBCs.
Thomas Braun, business unit
manager, explains "We're offering
organisations that use steel drums
in fields from food packaging to
chemical manufacturing, the
chance to dramatically reduce
waste, save money and improve
safety."
The drumQuik Pro chemical
dispensing system has been
DOT/UN-tested and approved with
common drums and IBCs. The
coupler can be connected via
standard tubing to any appropriate
pumping system. A convenient
venting port is included to contain
fumes, apply an N2 or CO2 blanket
gas, or recirculate liquid back to the
drum.
The drum insert assembly
combines a typical bung closure
(2in buttress, BCS 56 x 4 and now
ISO G2 x 11.5) with an integrated
dip tube that comes in a variety of
