Mettler Toledo Industrial Division has provided West Bromwich Tool & Engineering Co, with a check scale that ensures only precise product types and quantities are loaded into boxes for distribution.

Based around the company's KA32s (32kg x 0.1g stainless steel) check scales, the system has a programmable display (where products to be filled are listed, along with target weight), a barcode-label printer and an Ethernet interface to enable the uploading of data.

Operating within a 0.5g max tolerance, the static checkweighing equipment has provided a failsafe solution for the automotive components manufacturer. Operators, filling up to 37 pallets of boxes per hour, deal with seven different component assemblies and components that range from 1g to 2.5kg in weight.
