March 1st 2007 Sartorius has introduced a new generation of easy-to-use compact industrial scales. Suitable for use in legal metrology, the new Signum range comes in a choice of three weighing technologies. Signum regular models (SIWR) use a standard weighing system that can handle resolutions to 35 000d; Signum advanced models (SIWA) have a mechatronic weighing system offering resolutions to 65 000d; and Signum Supreme models (SIWS) have a monolithic weigh cell that offers resolutions to 350 000d. Fast and versatile, the scales can be used for demanding applications such as counting with automatic reference weight updating, as well as simple weighing tasks.
