Correct weight for pancakes July 1st 2006 A combined checkweigher and metal detector unit from Avery Weigh-Tronix means that Crepe Cuisine can now check all of its blinis (pancakes) for weight and contaminants before despatch.
The company now weighs packs of up to 1500g to the nearest 0.2g at speeds of up to 60 packs per minute. The machine can also recognise 2mm contaminants using a highly sensitive Mesutronic metal detector head. This learns product characteristics so that it can detect any differences instantly.
A lockable bin receives contaminated packs off the conveyor for quarantine and a pusher reject mechanism sends under or overweight packs to a table.
An integral tally roll printer prints data from each production period including the number of packs, average weight and number of rejects, to assist with due diligence. It also features an easy menuguided touch screen. More articles from Avery Weigh-Tronix Limited: |
