March 1st 2006 A new load cell from Sartorius is said to be the first to be fully compliant with the stringent hygiene regulations of the food and beverage industry.
The PR6202 and accompanying hygienic mounting kit come in capacities from1 to 50t. The design process was carried out according to GMP guidelines in order to ensure compliance with regulations in the pharmaceutical and bioprocessing industries and to make qualification and validation of systems more straightforward.
Even if automated weighing and batching systems are usually not in direct contact with the product, the immediate surroundings of production vessels, tanks and mixers must be kept in hygienic condition at all times.
