Weighing in
September 1st 2004

Available from Nova Weigh, the TC2000 enables a standard forklift truck to be transformed into a mobile weighing solution.

Mobile weighing hand pallet trucks can be taken directly to the product, enabling the weighing process to take place anytime, anywhere. Using such equipment also negates the need for space consuming, fixed weighing equipment.

Pressure applied to a forklift’s hydraulic system is transformed to an electrical signal that is converted to a weight reading, accurate to between 0.25 and 0.5% of the capacity of the lifting unit.

Since there is no requirement to install load cells in the forks, the need for cabling on both forks and mast is avoided. Also, there is no possibility of overloading the pressure transmitter.

The most recent 1000 results recorded can be stored in the TC2000’s memory and then recalled at the touch of a button.

Impact-resistant indicators display gross, tare and net values, along with the time and date of the reading. A print-out option enables the operator to log results.

The company says mobile weighing can reduce labour costs, by combining the weighing process with transportation. Data is captured and readily displayed, making checking and counting effortless.
