Fleet growth March 1st 2007 AFI-Uplift is investing £12m to expand its powered access fleet by a further 800 machines, most of them being small electric units such as Pop Up machines. Nick Selley, AFI director, says "The Pop Up machines will take AFI into new areas of the market. It is a very cost effective solution to meet the health and safety requirements for low level access work because it can be easily pushed around by one person." By the summer, AFI plans to have purchased 400 small units, including Pop Ups, Star 6 and Star 10s, Genie IWPs and Genie GR15s. More articles from AFI-Uplift Limited: |
