A light to wear, fan-assisted respirator called the Safir Clean Air provides wide angled vision and allows easy breathing. Part of Chapman & Smith's range of industrial Respiratory Equipment, it is available in a choice of hood and faceshield styles. A motorised turbo unit feeds filtered air to the hood, with audiovisual lowflow warning indicators to ensure continued protection for the wearer.

The unit is CE-marked and conforms to EN12941 Class TH1, TH2 or TH3, depending on the combination of Turbo Unit and Hood. Power comes from an integral rechargeable battery pack, which is carried on a belt behind the wearer's back.
