A small, inexpensive air hose fitting has been introduced by Thomas Wright/Thorite Group to improve air tool user safety.

The potential damage that can be caused by an accidentally cut air hose, to property and, more importantly, to personnel, has long been of concern to companies using air tools and systems.

Just as electric shocks from damaged cables can be prevented by in-line fuses, so the new Cubeair AirFuse will instantly detect an air hose pressure failure and stop the flow of compressed air instantaneously, eliminating the nightmare of uncontrollable, whipping air hoses.

The AirFuse can also protect air compressors from damage caused by sudden pressure drops, plus the consequent loss of thousands of litres of compressed air if the compressor continues to be run unchecked.

The range is available for same day despatch in a wide variety of thread dimensions, flow and pressure capacities.
