Collects dust
March 1st 2008

Five Carter-Midac AS820 Autosludge wet dust collectors from Carter Environmental Engineers (CEE) are now used by the West London Waste household refuse facility in Brentford to ensure clean working conditions for staff and refuse vehicle drivers. They replace five CEE dust collectors which had been in use since 1977.

Refuse vehicles bring in around 850t of household waste daily and the CEE units remove airborne dust from 10 tipping bays.

Simple in design, the units need neither specialist components nor control equipment, ensuring minimum maintenance.

Autosludge units have a selfinduced spray zone and are come in a standard range of sizes covering air capacities from 13 000 to 100 000m3/h, offering high collection efficiency and low emissions. Water levels are regulated automatically by electronic controls ensuring minimum water use.
