Deals with potentially explosive dust

Anew compact Cyclovent dust extraction unit from Carter Environmental Engineers has been developed from the company's standard Cyclovent range and offers all of the system's features in a compact, stand-alone unit.

Available from stock, it comes in a variety of air handling capacities from 0.5 to 6m3/sec.

The package can be connected to a range of individual machines, operations or processes and meets all relevant CE mark requirements and HSG37 regulations on controlling airborne contaminants at work.

The Cyclovent is suitable for potentially flammable or explosive dust. With no moving parts, the risk of ignition is reduced during normal operation, making it suitable for DSEAR/ATEX applications.

It uses a combination of air cleaning technologies to create a special multi-stage scrubbing action, providing an alternative both to barrier filtration techniques and to self-induced wet scrubbing.

The cleaning stages created within the Cyclovent progressively remove fine dust particulate and, if fitted with additional equipment can cope with some odours. The design has been configured to minimise both the risk of blockages and to minimise the maintenance required.
